By the yard or precuts?

Choose yardage for borders, backing, larger pieces, or cutting your own shapes. One yard is 36 inches long by the fabric’s listed width, commonly 42–44 inches for quilting cotton. Buy in the increments shown on each listing and coordinate prints yourself. Yardage is cut from the bolt rather than supplied as a precut bundle. Shop yardage.

Choose precuts for patchwork, smaller projects, and a coordinated mix with less preparation. Fat quarters are typically 18 × 22 inches, charm squares 5 × 5 inches, layer cakes 10 × 10 inches, and jelly-roll strips 2½ inches × fabric width. Quantities and combinations are fixed by the piece or pack; check each listing for exact dimensions and counts. They arrive as precut pieces or bundles, not continuous yardage. Shop precuts.
